Job Title: Shop Associate Department: Store Operations Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt R.P. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Create a service work order Submit parts request to the Regional Shop Technician Repair and perform maintenance on power equipment Customer resource for troubleshooting and repairing equipment Ensure that the shop is maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner Present merchandise that is accurately priced and fronted Replenish product availability by merchandising new and existing freight Promote sales by building creative displays, showcasing seasonal product availability and value Foster a safe and productive work environment for associates and customers Diligent in protecting company assets Follow all SOP guidelines and company policies Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be sixteen years of age or over Basic Computer Knowledge Preferred Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent Previous retail experience Knowledge of STIHL brand products Previous shop experience Personality and Relational Skills Expresses a desire for learning and growth Builds relationships with a variety of personality types Communicates clearly through speech and writing Always demonstrates a professional attitude with customers and co-workers, including during high pressure situations Pays close attention to details and learns from mistakes Seeks out work to be done and does not wait for work to be assigned Solves problems with minimal supervision Identifies and makes suggestions to improve processes Customer Service focused Performs as a team player Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The position does require frequent lifting of merchandise. It is expected that the employee lift safely, using proper body mechanics and lifting devices. When lifting heavy items, up to 50 pounds, a team lift may be required.
