Job summary
The Sr. Human Resources Project Manager manages activities dealing with sensitive, analytical, and conceptual issues relating to Human Resources management that support division operations. Assists in the implementation of new strategic HR initiatives and/or enhanced HR programs and services. Participates in the formulation of HR strategic initiatives, projects, budget and contractual agreements with vendors. Leads the work and effort of functional and cross-functional teams, providing direction to the people involved, to implement HR initiatives and/or improve efficiencies or processes. May serve on division committees and ad hoc task forces and manages multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.This role is in support of a multi-divisional enterprise project and will support NextGEN, an enterprise-wide multi-platform technology project. Reporting directly to the Change Management Lead and working with change management partners, the Change Management Project Manager will:
* Establish and manage NextGEN Change Management details, deliverables, schedules, tasks, assignments, and execution
* Coordinate change management business and support Change teams
* Identify change/OD issues in project and workstream meetings and bring to appropriate team lead and Change team
* Anticipate and resolve issues that could impact the project budget, schedule, scope, or quality and escalate to the Change Management office when necessary
Requires strong project management, vendor management, and analytical ability typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in management, business administration or related discipline or equivalent experience. Requires 6 years of experience with progressively complex project management responsibilities. Knowledge of Human Resources management required. Quickly learns and assimilates technical and business requirement information with the ability to apply this knowledge in solving customer business problems. Must possess clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with technical personnel, business customers, and management. Ability to communicate with team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Demonstrates ability to work with individuals, organizational relationships, and project management requirements. The ability to handle conflicting information and requirements effectively is important. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, competing priorities, and challenging situations professionally, as well as strong leadership and project management skills in managing staff and projects. Can promptly and efficiently conform to shifting priorities, project adjustments, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Understands how to mitigate project and application risk. Demonstrated commitment to a strong customer service philosophy required. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Interacts with all levels in a number of functional areas, with vendors and stakeholders on a regular basis requiring strong communication, negotiation, conflict management, and written skills. The method of communication can vary and the incumbent must be able to assess the situation and identify the best methodology to ensure the communication is clear, concise, easily understood, and accurate. Due to often-conflicting business needs, the incumbent must be tactful and competent with exceptional interpersonal skills. Must be able to express oneself clearly, both verbally and in writing.
The incumbent is responsible for managing difficult issues associated with HR project development, ongoing operational support, and providing direction to technical development resources when applicable. Assignments require analysis of a large number of intricately related variables. Evaluates multiple courses of action related to business issues and uses a high degree of creativity to select the best approach in resolving conflicting business requirements. Extensively probes and analyses problems to determine their nature and scope. Work effort must constantly be monitored for the interaction of on-going and new work, changing business needs, demands of new stakeholders, or technical innovation.
