Overview:
Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Senior Erection Engineer based out of Chattanooga, TN. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Directs and manages the erection and installation of moter gates and lock machinery, guidance to subordinatemanager, enfores company and project policies, and a primary liason between Shimmick and client interface.

Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.

Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

Successful experience in miter gate erection and machinery installation on previous US Army Corp of Engineer's projects

Heavy civil construction project experience

Concrete structures, MSE Walls, Rail, Transit, Wastewater

Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail

Additional Information:

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $(phone number removed) - 190,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
