Job Summary:
The incumbent will join the accounts receivable team to help process, track, and record customer payments accurately, efficiently, and timely. This role ensures proper documentation on all customer account activities, accuracy of all daily processes and is in accordance with standard account receivable procedures.
Job Description:
Major Responsibilities:
Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by reconciling customer payments and accounts.
Responsible for daily cash application process, including accurately and efficiently processing and posting incoming payments to appropriate customer accounts.
Gather and verify remittances for appropriate documentation before posting customer payments.
Communicates with internal or external customers to obtain payment details for cash application and payment information for the creation or resolution of payment discrepancies.
Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with national and local financial requirements.
Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts
Participates in projects as required.
Incumbent Attributes:
Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of three years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience with knowledge of accounting related software systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office (Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), Word, etc.).
Detail oriented with strong problem solving/analytical skills. Ability to proactively identify and develop practical solutions.
Able to manage multiple tasks, projects and meet short/unexpected deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
Strong communication skills (written and oral).
SAP (S/4 Hana) and Oracle experience preferred.
