Overview:SENIOR WORKING CAPITAL ADVISOR
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?This position is responsible for selling, marketing, solutioning and supporting delivery of CNB and RBC solutions to optimize a client's working capital position. This includes Deposits, core Treasury Management products, Commercial Card solutions, Cross-Border Solutions and Transactional FX. The position will be focused on covering clients in the National Corporate Banking Division (mid and large Corporates with annual revenues in excess of $500 million.) The incumbent will develop and execute on a consultative business development framework with the ultimate goal of becoming a trusted advisor to this strategic client base and secure a fair share of the client's fee wallet. Working closely in partnership with the Line of Business and Relationship Managers, the incumbent will implement and follow a proactive calling program in order to leverage CNB's credit position. Other key stakeholders for this position include TM Product Management, Segment Solutions, Commercial Card Sales, Deposit RMs and FX Sales. The incumbent will collaborate closely with RBC Capital Markets and RBC Canada on depository and Canadian treasury solutions for NCB clients. The incumbent will also act as an escalation point of last resort for severe service issues. Maintain current knowledge of all treasury management, card and FX products and services offered. Maintain current working knowledge of technology trends impacting Working Capital Management.
What you will doUses proactive, consultative sales skills and strategies to identify needs and quantify service/product benefits of targeted clients and prospects within the assigned territory. Analyzes the requirements of the client/prospect and presents recommendations on applicable treasury management products/services that can assist the client with the management and efficient use of Working Capital.
Develops account and calling plans in conjunction with relationship managers, division leaders and line officers to support existing and develop new treasury management clients. Coordinates customer/prospect calling activities with relationship managers and serves as primary technical expert for all treasury management products and services.
Attends all credit pipeline meetings for the Line of Business Divisions they support. Work with Relationship Managers to anticipate credit events and coordinate client contact prior to loan commitments. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for all stakeholders and support broader client retention efforts through regular account reviews.
Coordinates and manages the preparation and presentation of working capital client proposals, pricing and recommendations. Responsible for completion and submission of client service agreements and ensures that all services are properly implemented, in coordination with the Working Capital Associate and Onboarding Manager.
Maintains a pro-active calling program with the existing client base as well as NCB prospects. Performs regular account reviews for existing clients in order to cross-sell additional bank products and services.
Works closely with the assigned Working Capital Associate in order to develop new services or modify existing services as requested. Participates in the development of marketing strategies and sales objectives that are consistent with overall division objectives. Maintains an awareness of market conditions and customer buying criteria and provides current information on industry trends and competitive practices that may be used in the development and/or delivery of treasury management services to Product Management and TMS Leadership.
Maintains a proactive commitment to established Bank programs, such as CustomerFirst, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity.
Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.). Complete all required training.
Completes all special projects as requested.
Must-Have*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of Mid to Large Corporate treasury management sales experience
Minimum 10 financial industry experience
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrates extensive understanding of working capital management (DPO, DSO, DIO, procure to pay and order to cash), accounting principles, financial concepts, payment processing and commercial banking operations.
Extensive knowledge of the practices and regulations that govern the banking industry and the implications of federal, state and local regulations affecting treasury management activities.
Extensive understanding of the principles and practices associated with the analysis of business operations and depository activities.
10 or more years of treasury management sales experience in a Mid-Corporate or Large-Corporate coverage role. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
Knowledgeable of industry issues and competitive products/services, including cross-border treasury management.
Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions.
Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with concentration in a discipline directly related to the duties of the position.
CompensationStarting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
