Grayson College Center for Workplace Learning seeks a motivated and dedicated part-time instructor who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and the ability to motivate and educate students for a position as a CNA.
Instruction may be delivered in a classroom, an industry setting, or as a blended face-to-face and online training.
The teaching assignment is for evening classes at the Grayson main campus, Denison, Texas
The hourly rate for this position is $35 per hour.
Responsibilities:
50% Prepares and presents lectures, discussions, and lab experiences using a variety of training aid, instructional devices, and learning technologies.
25% Facilitates hands-on application as aligned with course curriculum.
10% Prepares and provides feedback to students and clients.
10% Conducts evaluations and assessments of student performance.
5% Develops learning outcome measures.

Qualifications:
Current LVN nursing license in the State of Texas.
Have a minimum of one year of long-term care experience in a nursing home.
Have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides
Work under the general direction of the program director or be the approved program director who meets the requirement
Three years of direct experience teaching/training in the particular subject area and its application in the workplace.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
AAS degree or licensure in Health Sciences or a closely related discipline preferred.
Specialized training or certifications mandated or recommended by credentialing agency in alignment with the resulting job.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Ability to interact with students positively and encouragingly.
This position requires three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
