Overview:Fairview Range is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our Surgical Services team in Hibbing, MN.

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will provide perioperative care to patients under the direction of an RN, scrubs and assists surgeons by handling instruments during procedures, maintains aseptic technique, maintains instruments and equipment for optimal functioning, and performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. Weekdays and weekends on call.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for:
Providing direct perioperative patient care with regard to the physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being of the patient.
Assisting the RN in coordinating a plan of care based on prioritized patient needs related to types of surgical procedures and surgeon preferences.
Providing age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all involved subject areas according to standards of care.
Assisting RN, anesthesia personnel, and the surgeon in prompt identification of charges in patient condition.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
One year of operating room or similar scrub experience within the last five years.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Eligible to sit for the Certification of Surgical Technologist within one year
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or prior experience as a Surgical Technologist
Graduate of a surgical technology program
