The Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Medical Center has 14 beds. Our departments specialty is Critical Care to include Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), proning, and protocols for sepsis, stroke, hypothermia, mass transfusions and OB hemorrhage to name just a few. We treat medical and surgical critically ill adult patients 18 years and older, Level III trauma patients 15 and older, OB emergency patients related to seizure and hemorrhage and we get overflow from Med/Surg related to capacity.

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:

Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.

Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.

Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.

Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact,

Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i.e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's

BLS from the American Heart Association required

ACLS from the American Heart Association required

NIHSS required

Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
