Overview:Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities:
The MNR Maintenance Division is in need of a Senior Work Planner to support the Mercury team at the Nevada National Security Site.
Key Responsibilities
Performance of Job Walk downs and Job Hazard Analyses.
Perform screening and binning of work packages.
Develop and review work packages for the implementation and control of construction work activities within a given facility or area.
Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures and may include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
Analyze time and material requirements for work activity.
Write systematic instructions for work packages.
Track and expedite established priority of work packages.
Assist in preparing and/or reviews specific instructions for the isolation, containment or de-energizing various mechanical, physical, electrical, chemical and/or radiological systems according to established procedures and regulations.
Perform various functional and administrative activities in conjunction with the primary work control/work package development including, but not limited to, permit development, testing requirements, documentation generation, records management, database information management, retrieval and review, and/or training.
Learn all Company and industry regulatory guidance and governance specific to work control and planning.
Ensure all work control results, materials, processes, and final products meet quality specifications and completed according to established requirements.
Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in field related to the position or equivalent training and experience plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience.

Preferred Experience Successfully demonstrate any one or more of the following:Minimum of 5 years as a construction or maintenance planner.
Minimum of 5 years as a construction or maintenance supervisor or superintendent
Minimum of 5 years as a Construction Subcontract Technical Representative (STR)
Minimum of 5 years in a Primavera Scheduler position
Minimum of 5 years related military experience Technical, civil or propulsion plant experience preferred - to be evaluated
Minimum of 5 years active in a construction craft, preferably with 2 year at the foreman or above level.
Minimum of 5 years in a maintenance craft, preferably with 2 year at the foreman or above level.
Personnel shall be able to operate the following equipment or software programs:
Microsoft Office products
Computerized Maintenance Management System, (CMMS,) such as Maximo, SAP, or equivalent preferred
SharePoint or equivalent preferred
The primary work location will be Mercury, NV at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
Work schedule for this position will be 4/10s, Monday Thursday (subject to change).
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Reference , Personnel Security. Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in , Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites, will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Annual salary range for this position is $77,001.60 - $(phone number removed).
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
