TT Electronics Mexicali facility houses 65,000 square feet of office and advanced manufacturing. With a large workforce of 126 employees, this site operates in multiple shifts with cellular production lines and 13 production cells. This site is ISO9001 certified and manufactures an array of technologies including variable and fixed resistors, EPS sensors, and trimmers.
Role Overview and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Program SMT pick and place equipment by using machine GUIs or software to perform BOM/CAD merge. (Prefer Aegis)
Work in SMT program libraries to add or create new part and package types
Experience with SMT/TH process engineering to support the manufacturing of PCBAs
Perform stencil design and screen printer program creation (MPM preferred)
Perform reflow oven and wave solder machine profiling and program generation.
Assist in machine, feeder, and wave pallet maintenance as needed.
Work with PMs and Engineers on DFM for NPI and to improve the manufacturing process for existing products.
Program AOI equipment for NPI builds and to update current programs as needed. (Prefer Yestech)
Write and approve ECNs as needed and follow the process for internal and external approval.
Knowledge of conformal coating is desired. (Humaseal products)
Support the compliance of a AS9100D quality environment and have intermediate knowledge of IPC 610 (class 2 and 3) and 620, J-STD.
Preform root cause analysis on in-process defects and product returns. (8D, 5why, fishbone, etc.)
Pull raw data from the process machines and be able to pareto results to drive continuous improvement strategies.
Utilize X-Ray and AOI equipment to perform analysis on process validation, defects, and returns.
Identify tooling and material requirements to support NPI and production.
Facilitate first article builds for process verification and product quality.
Work with production to develop rework strategies and procedures (SMT/TH component removal and replacement).
Train employees on replacement techniques and processes.
Be a steward of a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
Core Requirements
English 90% fully conversacional
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field of study or 8+ years of direct experience as a SMT/TH process engineer.
6+ years experience in the SMT & Through-hole related PCB operations, high programming skills, including hands-on materials & process implementation and leadership.
Advanced knowledge of IPC Standards 610 and 620, and J-standard 001.
Previous experience in a AS9100D working environment it's a plus.
