Job summary
Williams Bros. Health Care Pharmacy is looking for a Staff Pharmacist to lead, direct, and manage the daily pharmacy activities in our closed door long-term care pharmacy located in Washington, IN. Expectations include ensuring optimal customer service and prescription verification.Principal Roles and Responsibilities
Proficient in performing DUR and clinical pharmacist verification of prescriptions.
Helps maintain, coordinate and direct daily technician workflow
Communicates and resolves problems with customers, patients, referral sources, and insurance companies when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Officers or Regional Manager
Prepares and assists the Pharmacy team in the preparation of medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients; detects therapeutic incompatibilities.
Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification, labeling/packaging, quality assurance with barcode verification and drug images and delivery with barcode tote checking.
