As a Medical Billing Specialist at Performance Optimal Health, you will play a crucial role in managing the revenue cycle and ensuring accurate and timely billing for our patients.In this role, you will be responsible for processing and submitting medical claims, following up on claims and denials, posting payments, and resolving billing issues. Additionally, you will communicate with insurance providers and patients to address any billing inquiries or concerns.

Responsibilities:
Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and other payers
Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and appeal claims if necessary
Post payments received from insurance companies and patients
Investigate and resolve billing issues and discrepancies
Communicate with insurance providers and patients to resolve billing inquiries
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of billing activities
Adhere to billing regulations and compliance standards
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
Knowledge of medical billing software and systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
Strong understanding of medical billing procedures, guidelines, and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Customer service-oriented mindset and ability to resolve billing inquiries and concerns
Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical and financial information
