Job summary
Swiftwick designs, engineers, and builds technical socks for athletic performance, primarily serving the running and cycling communities with products that are engineered to endure. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Brand Designer to join our growing team. As a Senior Brand Designer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting elevated digital and IRL experiences for Swiftwick as we prepare for a brand relaunch later this year.The role will report to our CEO, who previously led marketing, e-commerce, and international at Away for four years. The role will also work in close partnership with our marketing, e-commerce, wholesale, and product development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own the brand's visual identity and ensure consistency across all consumer-facing and internal touchpoints, maintaining brand guidelines following an externally-led rebrand and evolving them as needed.
Provide creative direction and guidance to internal and external teams, ensuring that design initiatives meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Conceptualize and execute visually compelling designs for our e-commerce website, email campaigns and flows, social media assets, digital advertisements, and other digital platforms.
Design sell sheets, product catalogs, trade show booth assets, and other collateral to support the wholesale teams efforts, ensuring that key product features and benefits are effectively communicated to retailers and distributors.
Partner with our product development team to provide design leadership for seasonal product launches across our sock assortment as well as product packaging
Partner with our head of integrated marketing to develop campaigns to support major tentpole moments in the companys marketing calendar
Provide art direction for photo and video shoots that introduces a fresh and compelling creative POV to a legacy category
Manage and develop the internal creative team
Manage outside agencies and freelance creatives (photographers, designers, videographers) to manage outside workflow and campaigns.
Organize and maintain design files and project documentation through robust internal storage systems and drives.
Requirements
Minimum 6-8 years of professional experience, with increasing scope and responsibilities.
Deep knowledge and experience in both digital and print design with a consumer brand. You can hold your own when it comes to UI/UX design (maybe you even know a bit of CSS) but you are also comfortable discussing CMYK vs. six color printing.
Familiarity with and understanding of brand marketing-adjacent functions, from creative production and paid social to automated email flows to retail and digital sales and merchandising.
Physical product / textile design and factory production knowledge a plus!
You have a finger on the pulse of culture, whether that be sports, fashion, or design
Prior startup experience (or other fast-paced experience where you wear a lot of hats) is ideal.
High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with tools such as Figma and Asana.
Bachelors degree a plus but not required with the relevant professional experience.
