Overview:
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our countrys most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.
TRC desires to hire a Training Specialist to support the continued internal training of NYSERDA staff on NYSERDA's programs and processes and the development of training materials to support training efforts for NYSERDA.
Remote in the Albany, NY Market
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Assessing, developing, administering, and evaluating training deliverables and outcomes and the ability to synthesize training needs from stakeholders and available data to formulate comprehensive training plans.
Developing and implementing content for digital user guides, eLearning courses, in-person/remote training, and video tutorials, delivering/facilitating in-person/remote-based knowledge transfers and experience using eLearning and video production software such as Articulate and Camtasia.
Managing multiple projects in parallel while staying highly organized and adaptive to changing circumstances and deadlines and experience utilizing standard training methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
Conducting large and diverse audience training facilitation and translating complex processes/systems for general end-user understanding and adoption.
Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop comprehensive needs analyses of project engagements.
Utilizing needs analyses to determine best training approach to achieve desired outcomes within the timeframe available for project completion and developing and maintaining comprehensive digital materials such as user guides and job aids for complex, multi-audience business processes, leveraging internal design and UX standards.
Creating, testing, and implementing eLearning opportunities using Articulate and Camtasia.
Producing video tutorials using Camtasia, PowerPoint, and web-based video platforms such as MS Teams and WebEx.
Assisting in the administration of NYSERDAs Learning Management System, Professional Development Calendar, and Course Library and assisting in the daily task management of the Training Coordinator and training interns.
Providing project updates in weekly team status meetings, highlighting implementation risks and suggested resolutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education or communications with 2-3 years of experience working developing training materials and delivering training programs and modules.
2-3 years prior experience Learning & Development; in a training role assessing, developing, administering, and evaluating training deliverables and outcomes.
Experience developing and implementing content for digital user guides, eLearning courses, in-person/remote training, and video tutorials.
Experience delivering/facilitating in-person/remote-based knowledge transfers.
Experience using eLearning and video production software such as Articulate and Camtasia.
Experience utilizing standard training methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
Basic functional use and knowledge of the following a plus: Articulate, Camtasia, Confluence, Graphic Design, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and SharePoint
Ideally, candidate will also have experience with video editing and publication, script writing, and story board development
Candidate will be managing multiple projects in parallel while utilizing several tools for project management. Organization is key to this role as it requires effective use of Asana, MS Teams, OneDrive, and Confluence as the primary management tools. Given the potential for audits of our projects, candidate would need to keep highly organized and detailed records of project requirements, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes
Candidate will be interacting with stakeholders all throughout NYSERDA and should be comfortable working with diverse stakeholders with differing communication styles and expectations. This role is a highly communicative role so this skill is an absolute requirement

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $60,000-$75,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
