Our medical practice is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Billing Compliance Specialist with mastery of Power Point to join our Revenue cycle Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant provider coding practices through captivating presentations, auditing SOAP notes, and delivering personalized coaching. You will play a key role in optimizing our billing processes, maintaining compliance, and educating providers in a visually engaging way.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly audits of provider SOAP notes, assessing accuracy, completeness, and adherence to coding and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze and audit findings to identify areas for improvement in provider documentation practices.
- Develop and deliver exceptionally designed educational presentations (Power Point format) to providers on proper coding and documentation techniques.
- Utilize your mastery of Power Point to create visually engaging, informative and memorable presentations.
- Meet with providers one on one to discuss audit findings, address concerns, and offer personalized coaching.
- Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate coding and billing practices, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
- Stay up to date on the latest changes in coding and compliance regulations by attending 36 webinars annually.
- Maintain detailed records of all audit and training activities.
- Lead weekly team huddles to discuss findings and trainings with certified biller team to keep them in the loop.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, coding, compliance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance and coding.
- Certified in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, SOAP note documentation requirements, and relevant coding systems (E/m, CCM, MIPs, HEDIS, BHI, TCM, Podiatry, Psych)
- Mastery of Microsoft Power Point, including advanced features for data visualization, animation, and design.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
