POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Director at Genesis Products is responsible for leading the IT department while planning, developing and implementing policies, processes, and infrastructures to align the companys information technology strategy with business strategy and needs. The successful candidate will possess a broad range of skills including team leadership and communication abilities, broad technical knowledge, and an understanding of business practices and management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide enabling technologies to increase revenue and profitability and to make business easier for customers and suppliers
* Plan for and oversee hardware, networking utilization, and data storage growth
* Direct the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
* Ensure effective cyber security and physical network security for all Genesis systems.
Establish and continuously improve security measures for personal data, customer information, and other electronic material
* Directly supervise the IT Department by interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performing reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and conflict resolution
* Manage hardware, network, and vendor relationships
* Explore new technologies and trends in the industry for future planning and potential implementation
* Recommend and lead efforts to improve IT processes across the business
* Oversee information management budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, and software strategy based on forecasted company needs and objectives
* Effectively work with company managers on internal and external operations

REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field; and 7 to 10 years related experience
* Experience leading a team of IT professionals
* Technical experience with a variety of ERP, OS, networking, and software technologies
* Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software
* Experience with implementation of information technology integrations
* A track record of driving projects to completion
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects
* Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
* Must have excellent leadership, strategic planning and organizational skills
