A hospital in Massachusetts is actively seeking an AVP Women & Children Services RN to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position working for a reputable health system in the area.

The AVP Women & Children Services will work for a reputable health system known for their exceptional patient care, trauma center, women & children services programs, and ongoing research. The AVP Women & Children Services will work for a highly accredited, state-of-the-art hospital

The AVP Women & Children Services will lead a large Women & Children Services RN department which includes Labor Delivery, Mother Baby and a Level III NICU. Emphasizing a Family-Centered approach, this hospital offers an array of services for expecting parents and families, including 24/7 high-risk obstetrics services, lactation services, childbirth and family education programs, on-call specialized obstetricians and neonatologists, and more. The AVP Women & Children Services will be supported by several Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, and specialized nursesmany of which holding their RNC-OB, RNC-NIC, RNC-MNN, RNC, LRN, CCRN, CCRN-K-, ACCNS-N certification etc.

Responsibilities of the AVP Women & Children Services RN include overseeing operational workflow across all three departments, managing budgets, preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys, updadint policy procedures, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The AVP Women & Children Services should have previous experience with rebuilding and growing service lines, developing, identifying, and implementing new programs,

The AVP Women & Children Services RN will be knowledgeable with AWHONN and ACOG standards, integrating LEAN principles, maintaining internal and external relationships with physicians, community agencies, and outreach programs, monitoring key performance indicators, developing strategic initiative, along with overseeing labor delivery, mother-baby and a NICU team. The VP Women & Children Services must be a Registered Nurse, ideally holding (or currently completing) their Masters, along with previous Director or Senior Manager experience within an inpatient women & children services department.
