Job summary
Overview:Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of AVP, Insurance Sales Manager. Primary Function: Directly manage the Insurance Services Sales and Service Team and lead the sales efforts that directly contribute to the overall growth and success of the department.
Responsibilities:
Create and nurture the best possible environment for the team where they feel safe, valued and appreciated.
Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve department sales and revenue goals. Stay up-to-date with the latest sales techniques and industry trends to continuously enhance sales skills and knowledge.
Provide high quality coaching and development to the Sales and Service Team. This includes a formal 1-1 monthly and direct observation of the staff member to provide specific and meaningful feedback on a consistent basis to ensure their success.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral partners; identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling insurance products.
Understand member needs and industry trends and support the insurance vendors ability to tailor insurance solutions and provide exceptional service.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Retail and Commercial Lending to ensure a seamless sales process and effective communication.
Support the insurance vendors preparation and delivery of sales proposals to business members.
Track sales metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
Represent the department in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience Business Administration or related field is required.
Property & Casualty Agent & Brokers License is required (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
5 years experience in sales management is required.
3 years leadership experience is required.
