Summary
The Estimator provides full-time support to the Director of Preconstruction frequently interacting
with clients, project managers, vendors and contractors. This role assists management in
preparing work to be estimated, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related
documents. Identifying labor, materials, and time requirements for projects, attend bid meetings,
owner meetings, and other meetings with stakeholders and work alongside of the estimating team
to prepare budgets in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)
Prepare work to be estimated. Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents
Identify labor, materials, and time requirements for projects
Attend bid meetings, owner meetings, and other meetings with stakeholders
Work directly with Director of Preconstruction and other estimators to generate estimates for small and large projects
Communicate and interact with sub-contractors and component suppliers
Keeps abreast of latest trends of the Construction industry
Maintain a high degree of integrity and loyalty toward the company and customers
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or a related field, or 5 to 7 years equivalent experience
Must be able to review plans and evaluate drawings quickly and accurately
Familiarity with or the ability to learn and become competent in using our (2) cloud based estimating platforms (i.e., Building Connected & Procore Estimating)
Willingness to communicate in person or over the phone with our sub-contractors and component suppliers
Familiarity with local jurisdictions, codes, and review processes a plus
Valid Driver's License
