Device EngineerChicago, IL (onsite)
Client is seeking a Device Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in wireless communication principles and testing. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in device testing, telecom, and OEM manufacture experience.
Responsibilities:
Execute hardware/software testing per wireless standards and company device requirements.
Complete compliance testing in live networks and laboratory environments.
Conduct tests and analyze data in moving test vehicles.
Demonstrate knowledge of CDMA, LTE, and VoLTE standards.
Execute call performance testing using Mobile Diagnostic Monitors.
Identify opportunities for test procedure automation to enhance efficiency.
Analyze test data for short and long-term improvements in product and processes.
Develop various reports summarizing testing results.
Initiate test case development for evolving wireless devices and services.
Participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
Provide issue status communications within teams, cross-functionally, and with vendors.
Manage relationships with device vendors.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of professional experience in cellular or wireless telecommunication.
Advanced risk management and contingency planning skills.
Strong project planning skills.
Experience in team dynamics and leading multiple teams.
Ability to create external release quality documentation concurrently with other job responsibilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Broad knowledge and application of wireless communication industry principles and practices.
