Position Summary The Senior Department Head is responsible for all aspects of their department. They oversee staff and work to increase productivity by training, motivating, and building the skills of their team members. They support business efforts and implement company changes. They also maintain quality customer service working towards exceeding customer expectation. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide prompt and courteous customer service centered around meeting the customers needsEnsure that the salesfloor is maintained in a neat, clean, and organized mannerPresent merchandise that is accurately priced and frontedReplenish product availability by merchandising new and existing freightMaintain efficient and organized stock roomPromote sales by building creative displays, showcasing seasonal product availability and valueMonitor and rotate date sensitive product to ensure timely sell throughFoster a safe and productive work environment for associates and customersMaintain correct inventory countsUse information technology to analyze inventory and merchandising resultsExecute company merchandising directivesTrain and mentor associates in product knowledge and specific departmental responsibilitiesRemain current on setting all ad pricing and price changesAbility to plan and merchandise based on seasonalityObserve clothing rack rules and rack maintenanceFollow proper fitting room security proceduresDiligent in protecting company assetsFollow all SOP guidelines and company policiesComplete 4473 and Acquisition and Disposition paperwork with 100% accuracyEnsure firearms are displayed and handled appropriatelyComplete accurate daily firearm countQuarterly firearms serial number auditSystemically receive firearms and ammunitionRespond to ATF requests within 24 hours Manager on Duty and key holder. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.The position does require frequent lifting of merchandise.It is expected that the employee lift safely, using proper body mechanics and lifting devices. When lifting heavy items, up to 50 pounds, a team lift may be required.
