The Work:
" Work with Product Managers to understand customer needs and business objectives that inform features and stories
" Ensure work focuses on those stories with a maximum value, aligned with product strategy, roadmap, and key milestones
" Help define, refine, prioritize, and accept the work delivered by an Agile team to ensure the outcome meets the defined feature acceptance criteria while the team works at a sustainable pace
" Answer questions from the agile team so the team s work flows without delay
" Collaborate with POs on other teams to help the ART achieve its shared objectives
" Make decisions to solve product related problems, trade-off discussions, to stay on track to committed outcomes. (Acceptance, prioritizing, making trade-offs, etc.)
A Product Owner (PO) is:
" A leader to translate customer and business needs into technology solutions
" A Coach and a Mentor to other Product Owners of the ART to adopt Product Management competencies
" Able to actively participate in team and ART events providing valuable team insights
" The voice of the customer and business needs at the team level
" A leader that defines and prioritizes the work for the agile team so that it aligns with ART priorities and objectives
" The approver of work (accepts stories as complete and usable at team level)
" A person who ensures we are delivering business value by using team metrics and outcomes to inform decisions
" An Influencer and be able to encourage stakeholders to collaborate in deciding the roadmap and participate in frequent feedback sessions which will help in consistently deliver incremental value to the customer.
Experience Required:
" Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (5+ Years)
" Experience translating customer and business needs into technology solutions. (5+ Years)
" Defining and prioritizing work for agile team so that it aligns with ART priorities and objectives (5+ Years)
" Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, Dev Leads, System Architects and Scrum Leads (5+ Years)
" Strong advocate of promoting strong business owner and stakeholders collaboration (5+ Years)
Skillsets:
" Effective feature writing (5+ Years)
" Ability to work under minimal guidance (5 + Years)
" Ability to write effective OKRs for team and contribute to ART level OKRs (5+ Year)
" SAFe POPM and/or SAFe APM certification (strongly preferred)
" Tools Knowledge on Azdo and Target Process (Preferred but not required)
" Working knowledge of collaboration Tools MS Whiteboards, MIRO (5+ years)
