This is a hybrid role based out of our Ft. Wayne, IN office.

What the day will look like

This position is accountable for the rating needs of the business unit. This is a primary level operations position responsible for rating quotes, endorsements, and optional quotes on the most complex policies.

Rate quotes, endorsements, and optional quotes.

Communicate with Underwriter any problems or concerns with account data.

Identify and Report any systems and/or rating problems to the Rating Analyst and/or Management.

Use ISONET to order specific rates and tentative rates.

Use Silverplume and various other sources to research possible data inconsistencies.

Serve as technical resource for Raters in absence of Rating Analyst.

Attend all training classes as instructed.

Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Strong planning, math/analytical and organizational skills preferred.

Strong computer keyboarding skills preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.

Experience in the insurance industry or a related field (2-4 years).

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, and/or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $38,000 - $45,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicants geographic location.
