Job summary
Summary: This position works under the direct supervision of the Co-ops Manager, helps ensure workflow to the shop floor in an accurate and timely manner and provide support in areas of contract review, planning, quality and shipping. Ensures that any assigned job conforms to the specifications and instructions indicated on the work order. Verifies that the work performed is consistent and that it meets or exceeds the quality standards. Assumes other activities and responsibilities where necessary.Essential Functions:
1. Receiving and submitting request for quotes/orders.
2. Review blueprints, specifications, and customer documents and understands scope of work.
3. Provide daily updates of requested information regarding customer orders.
4. Review incoming documents for contract review.
5. Document and request information from customers to enable process orders to be released.
6. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, planning and work instructions, preparing planning instructions, verify quality standards.
7. Prepare work order certifications in compliance with appropriate standards and regulations.
8. Generate reports in Excel or Access.
9. Take pictures of hardware as needed.
10. Develop and train team members in novel processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Exceptional computer skills in a variety of programs including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Shop Tech, E2, and ERP Software.
2. Be able to review a specification or blueprint to determine process and inspection requirements.
3. Ability to adapt to a changing technology environment.
4. Ability to work under time constraints to meet internal and external customer demands.
5. Ability to maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, govt requirements, etc.
6. Attends departmental meetings as required.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
8. Ability to analyze customer requirements.
9. Willingness to learn new skills and continually improve oneself.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None at this time.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED. College coursework engineering, business administration or experience in a related field is required.
2. Working experience of manufacturing environment procedures.

6. Be able to use hand inspection tools.
7. Education or experience in engineering/quality an added plus.
