About this role

What will you be responsible for?
The Facilities Specialist will perform, assist, and supervise a series of activities associated with safe, secure and reliable operation of the Malozemoff Technical Facility (MTF). The MTF houses Newmont Metallurgical Services laboratories as well as office spaces for members of the Technical Services team. The MTF supports the overall function of the Newmont Metallurgical Services.

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

Safety and Health
* Promote safety as a value at Newmont. Act safely on a personal basis and encourage safe practices with others in the team. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to control; communicate potential and outcome to entire team.
Replicate findings across other departments when warranted.

Business Results
* Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, shipping and receiving equipment, geochemical and metallurgical samples and other materials associated with various test programs completed at the facility, within the country and overseas.

* Manage facility related operational activities such as: building maintenance, landscaping, breakroom, waste disposal. Assist with registration, receiving and departure of guests.
* Support Facilities Supervisor on capital improvements related projects located at the MTF, including sourcing, contractor management, communication with government entities (permits), proposals and invoicing.
* Assist in maintenance, organization and inventory of onsite warehouse.

* Ensure office supplies are fully stocked and furniture systems are functional.
* Create requisitions for purchase orders associated with managing the MTF facility and seeing process through to invoicing.

* Assist Facilities Supervisor on weekly and monthly reporting of facilities related activities.
* Ensure proper operation and communication with buildings life safety systems, including fire department, police department and buildings automation system. Perform monthly safety inspections.
* Other facility related duties as required.

Relationships
* The Facilities Specialist will be part of Newmont Metallurgical Services Facilities team, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.
* Develop lines of communication with all Laboratory and Technical Services personnel to provide updates on facility related activities and collaborate on common projects.
* Maintain communication with IT, Supply Chain and other Newmont support functions.
* Act in a manner that reinforces "The Newmont Values Statement".

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you
* Strong computer skills and experience with MS office suite.
* Familiar with SAP or related applications.
* IFMA, BOMA or other facilities related certification preferred.

* Hands-on experience with facility related duties.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex issues clearly and efficiently.
* Shipping/receiving Hazmat, DOT/IATA certification preferred.

Working conditions and location

Where you will be located!
* The position is located at the Englewood MTF office.

The salary range offered for this role is $63,600 - 83,475. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
The salary offer will not be based on a candidates salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the companys performance and their own individual performance.
