Job Summary
We are looking for an Employee Experience & Retention Manager to drive critical bodies of work that help position UofL Health to be an employer of choice while creating a rewarding work environment. The Employee Experience & Retention Manager will manage the implementation of programs that are known to positively impact employee experience and retention. This role will be essential to shaping how initiatives come to life as you work across internal stakeholders to influence system-wide employee experience and retention strategy. This role incorporates employee expertise experience expertise, end-to-end project management, and effective communication to confidently lead and guide our employee engagement and retention efforts.
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Director, Director, Learning & Development, the Employee Experience & Retention Manager will:
Plan, design, and implement the system-wide employee experience & retention strategy, processes, and interventions to improve the overall results across the organization through partnerships with CEOs, Unit leaders and HR partners.
Set benchmarks and targets for each facility/hospital in collaboration with leadership teams and educate leaders and employees to help solve engagement and retention challenges at UofL Health.
Consult with leadership on how to interpret the employee engagement and retention strategy and assist with needs assessments and the development of action plans that address the unique needs of their facilities.
Lead special retention programs such as the onboarding of international professionals including nurses and allied health techs, in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Office of Practice, Chief Nursing Officers, Onboarding Specialist and facility leaders.
Consult with CNOs and service line leaders to understand the unique challenges with employee engagement and retention and assist with the development of action plans that seek to address the challenges.
Collaborate with HR Managers and leaders in reviewing and updating policies to eliminate biases and barriers to engagement, and propose amendments that facilitates our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy thereby promoting inclusivity and belonging.
Collaborate with essential partners to build the profile of UofL Health as one of the Best Places to Work in the region.
Lead the distribution of the annual Press Ganey employee engagement survey and collaborate with HR managers on training leaders to develop action plans to improve employee experience.
Collaborates with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team to establish thriving employee resource groups (ERGs) with a goal of creating a sense of belonging for groups such as LGBTQ+
international employees including nurses, allied health techs and immigrants, Veterans, Black Health Care Coalition, and similar ERGs.
Manage the employee recognition program including the RecogNation rewards program that recognizes performance achievements and service anniversaries.
Lead and develop employee experience committees.
Support new employee and new leader orientation and onboarding with a view to developing a first-year experience for employees.
Integrate existing and emerging technologies to achieve learning goals
Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Education, or related field
Engagement Required:
5+ years of experience in employee experience, organizational development, employee relations role or a combination
