Overview:
Receives verbal and/or written instructions from Supervisor. Load a variety of hearth bake bread, rolls, and breadsticks either manually or using a Tunnel Oven Loader (TOL). Monitor a product to ensure that it meets each individual specification; communicate with the supervisor regarding any concerns, (quality, mechanical, or safety). Take appropriate corrective actions to ensure product meets dimensional specifications when necessary. Work well with proofers and other oven loaders to ensure the efficiency of the operation at all times. Perform all required cleanup duties as required (Employee Area Acceptance), without having to be directed to such tasks.
Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
Load a variety of baked rolls, bread, and bread sticks, both manually and with the use of a mechanical Tunnel Oven Loader (TOL)Must have the ability and knowledge to understand instructions and underlying principles.
Ability and knowledge to follow instructions.
Measure product to determine accuracy to each individual specification, notify supervisor and proofer of any noted deviations.
Minimization of waste through use of proper oven loading techniques and the exercise of care when handling racks and peelboards.
Perform any required pre-loading operations required for bread (cutting or docking) in keeping with individual product specifications.
Maintain an awareness of the function of all powered equipment (conveyors, TOL, ultrslitter) shut it down if necessary to prevent damage to equipment.
Physical demands such as:Constant bending and lifting of loaded peelboards and peelboards alone.
Firmly grasp peelboard in both hands to load bread or bread sticks in oven.
Unrack at the oven in a manner which complies with Good Manufacturing Practices. Exercising care to minimize disruption to product on the peelboard.
Keeping work area clean and orderly in keeping with the Employee Area Acceptance Program.
Applicant must be able to demonstrate their ability to perform the above tasks, and maintain production pace to qualify for the position.
Performs all other jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Additional Responsibilities:

Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices for food manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees regarding production requirements, dough conditions, and mechanical problems.
2. Must show up on time and work weekends as scheduled.
3. Must be able to stand for an 12-hour shift with a 30 minute lunch break.
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
5. Must be able to perform the essential job requirements with or without accommodation.
